I think I'd been looking at someone's art... I think it may have been Hunt Emerson, I'm sure he'd drawn a picture of a ship being held aloft by lots of small people? Maybe it was Robert Crumb? Hmm, I don't remember, but I do recall trying something similar, and trying out a different way of colouring in from the usual style done on the computer. It was quite a successful piece as a trial but didn't really appease my desire for something new and different enough to continue with further images painted this way.
